Cubing=Smart?

Well, does it? If you cube and complete it, you will become smarter. What is your take on this? Without any professional research on this, and only myself :) , I will disagree to this. I have seen very dumb people complete the Rubik’s Cube, and call it the Rubic Cube by mistake, and still learn it in only a few hours. A few memorization formulas, and the cube is solved. Just don’t call it a Rubic Cube.

I have taught many people who are borderline genius and borderline, well, stupid. But they all had something in common, the want to learn, or ambition. And they all did, as long as they were dedicated.

Now, where am I going with this? Did it make them many smarter?They might have thougt so :) , but I don’t. It teaches you many things, geometry, patterns and colors, and sometimes real life problems. It is an educational tool, no doubt, but…

(Oh no, the but…) As far as I’m concerned, at the moment, it may only boost your I.Q., but it will not instantly boost your math scores on the ACT from a 13, to a 31.

Don’t read this the wrong way, for this is a touchy subject that I will research on my own, but at this point, I do not think it will make anyone smarter.
